Ezekiel Kelly seeks reelection as lawn tennis prexy

The elective congress of the Sierra Leone Lawn Tennis Association is scheduled to take place on the 19th April 2014 with incumbent  president Kelvin Ezekiel Kelly seeking a second mandate

Speaking to newsmen Kelly said during his first time term, the challenges were many but that they were able to overcome most of them through the work of the executive. He pledged to "continue where I stopped and take the association to the next level and reach the peak were everybody is yearning for".

He said if elected, he will continue to encourage corporate houses to help sponsor the association when it comes to national and international tournaments and also make sure that the association is decentralised.

Kelly said over the period, Lawn tennis players have "been positive in terms of performance" and "I was pleased with them because they have good potentials in the sport".

Asked about the welfare of the welfare of players, Kelly described it as a priority.

The Secretary General of the Association Yayah Koroma said they have demonstrated over the past years that they were a capable executive but that it was now up to the delegates to decide their fate.
