The final of the Kroobay Football Association KBFA will be replayed after the first encounter between FC Kallon Jr. and Success FC at the weekend ended in deadlock.
The organisers of the non-division league ordered a replay due to "poor lighting" as both teams were tied 8-8 after post game penalties.
The Secretary General of KBFA Abdulai Bundu told Politico that "a new date will be set within two days". He said they intend to make the replay "more attractive because as if possible there will be a change of venue to encourage more fans to attend the finals".
Kallon FC had better ball possession and created chances but they failed to take the lead. Despite joining the league for the first time this season, Success FC put in a decent performance, posing a significant threat to their much more experienced opponents.
Albert Bangura an official the national telecommunications company, of Sierratel the sponsors of the league, said they were happy to sponsor the KBFA league as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility. He said the "level of competiveness in the match was very great and we are happy for it. We came onboard to sponsor the non-divisions league because there is prospect for growth in youth football in this country".
