The newly transferred Chief Administrator to the Kenema City Council has assured the public that his administration will “ensure that there is no room for corruption and dictatorial rule”.
Daniel Saa Momoh said he was the “Moses”who had the determination to rescue the council from most of the misconceptions making the rounds about the council.
He said his administration would ensure total transparency in every activity, adding that the public always deserved to know about the running of the council.
He assured the staff of a good working relationship for the development of the city.
Momoh disclosed that the cleaning exercise on the last Saturday of every month would commence in Kenema on t26 April, 2014.
The Chief Administrator echoed the need to clean up the city and make it tidy for human habitation, stressing that hygiene and sanitation were paramount in the work of the council.
He added that the re-introduction of the public cleaning would reduce cost on council, citing that currently council was spending huge sumsof money on fuel and maintenance of vehicles being used in public waste management.
The newly transferred information officer, Patrick Jakema, said the council had an open-door policy and that he would ensure that the public knew about the work of the council.
He said a program called “Council Basket” had been designed to engage various radio stations on the activities of the Kenema City Council.
“This program will help the people to know the development activities the council is implementing at a given time,” he said.
