The 10th prosecution witness in the preliminary investigation into murder charge preferred against Skye Bank manager Ikibolaje Nicol has tendered 32 photos taken from the postmortem examination of the deceased Sinna Kai Kargbo, also formerly of Skye Bank.
Detective Constable Hassan Bangura, attached to the Scientific Crime Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) told magistrate Mark Ngeba that he was on duty on the 20th of October last year when Detective Inspector Kassegbama and team arrived and asked him to witness postmortem examination being done on the remains of Sinna Kai Kargbo at Connaught Hospital. He said they went to the hospital mortuary where the corpse was displayed in the presence of investigators, pathologists and relatives of the deceased.
The witness said one of the relatives of the deceased, Idrissa Kamara, identified the remains of the deceased to Dr. Owizz Koroma, the senior pathologist after which the autopsy commenced. He said he took several photos of the remains, printed the photos out and handed them over to the CID headquarters for safe keeping.
During cross-examination by lawyer Roland Wright, the witness could not recall the different people or their number that witnessed the postmodern being done. The defence lawyer then told the witness that there were two doctors assisting Dr. Owizz Koroma and that the doctors were in constant bitter discussions.
