Sierra Leone recorded 0.02% increase in total COVID-19 infections over the week, from November 28 to December 5, 2021.
In comparison, Sierra Leone recorded the lowest percentage increase in COVID-19 infections compared to Benin (0.05%), Burkina Faso (1.84%), Cape Verde (0.21%), Ivory Coast (0.18%), Gambia (0.03%), Guinea-Bissau (0.06%), Liberia (0.05%), Mali (2.96%), Niger (1.48%), Nigeria (0.27%), Senegal (0.04%), Togo (0.19%), the Manor River Union or MRU (0.12%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.27%), Africa (1.07%), Europe (3.56%), North America (1.56%), South America (0.34%), Asia (0.72%) and the world (1.65%). Percentage increase in total infections in Guinea (0.02%) was the same as Sierra Leone. Ghana recorded zero infections over the week.
Mali (2.32%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total deaths compared to Burkina Faso (1.78%), Cape Verde (0.29%), Ivory Coast (0.14%), Guinea-Bissau (2.05%), Niger (2.76%), Nigeria (0.17%), Senegal (0.05%), MRU (0.07%), ECOWAS (0.37%), Africa (0.41%), Europe (1.93%), North America (0.94%), South America (0.22%), Asia (0.74%) and the world (0.97%). Benin, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Togo recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Europe (2.90%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total recoveries compared to Burkina Faso (0.88%), Cape Verde (0.08%), Ivory Coast (0.26%), Gambia (0.02%), Guinea-Bissau (0.26%), Mali (0.72%), Niger (2.32%), Nigeria (0.12%), Senegal (0.02%), Togo (0.08%), MRU (0.16%), ECOWAS (0.14%), Africa (0.53%), North America (1.48%), South America (0.33%), Asia (0.71%) and the world (1.40%). Benin, Ghana, G uinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
