Sierra Leone recorded 0.07% and 0.04% increase in COVID-19 total infections and total recoveries respectively in 24 hours, from Thursday (10:00 am) to Saturday (06:00 pm).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total infections was lower compared to Burkina Faso (0.25%), Cape Verde (2.30%), Ivory Coast (0.19%), Gambia (0.67%), Guinea (0.44%), Guinea-Bissau (0.43%), Mali (2.95%), Niger (0.69%), Nigeria (0.09%), Senegal (0.26%), Togo (1.45%), the Manor River Union or MRU (0.25%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.36%), Africa (0.56%), Europe (0.82%), North America (0.53%), South America (1.32%), Asia (2.31%) and the world (1.16%). Percentage increase in total cases was the same in Ghana (0.07%) as in Sierra Leone. Benin and Liberia recorded zero increase in total cases.
Togo (1.71%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total deaths compared to Cape Verde (0.53%), Ivory Coast (1.11%), Ghana (0.39%), Guinea (1.47%), Mali (1.67%), Niger (0.53%), Senegal (0.28%), MRU (0.88%), ECOWAS (0.37%), Africa (0.53%), Europe (0.63%), North America (0.36%), South America (1.59%), Asia (1.17%) and the world (0.83%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (0.42%), Cape Verde (1.28%), Ivory Coast (0.36%), Gambia (0.48%), Ghana (0.11%), Guinea (0.22%), Guinea-Bissau (0.78%), Mali (0.98%), Niger (0.23%), Senegal (0.31%), Togo (4.47%), MRU (0.30%), ECOWAS (0.31%), Africa (0.41%), Europe (0.55%), North America (0.58%), South America (1.16%), Asia (1.68%) and the world (6.75%). Percentage increase in total recoveries was lower in Nigeria (0.02%) compared to Sierra Leone. Benin and Liberia recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
