Sierra Leone recorded 0.10% and 0.10% increase in COVID-19 total infections and total recoveries respectively in 72 hours, from Saturday (10:00 am) to Tuesday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total infections was lower compared to Cape Verde (2.20%), Ivory Coast (0.27%), Gambia (0.29%), Guinea (0.37%), Liberia (0.80%), Mali (0.22%), Niger (0.24%), Senegal (0.16%), Togo (0.26%), the Manor River Union or MRU (0.31%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.26%), Africa (0.46%), Europe (0.40%), North America (0.30%), South America (1.18%), Asia (2.36%) and the world (1.06%). However, percentage increase in total infections was lower in Burkina Faso (0.02%), Guinea-Bissau (0.03%) and Nigeria (0.07%) compared to Sierra Leone. Ghana (0.10%) recorded the same percentage increase in infections as Sierra Leone. Benin recorded zero increase in total infections.
Cape Verde (2.87%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total deaths compared to Ivory Coast (1.02%), Guinea (0.66%), Mali (0.20%), Nigeria (0.05%), Senegal (0.45%), MRU (0.66%), ECOWAS (0.29%), Africa (0.57%), Europe (0.42%), North America (0.22%), South America (1.21%), Asia (2.84%) and the world (0.97%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Niger, Sierra Leone and Togo recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Cape Verde (3.61%), Ivory Coast (0.24%), Gambia (0.48%), Ghana (0.12%), Guinea (0.27%), Guinea-Bissau (0.32%), Liberia (2.75%), Mali (1.45%), Niger (0.79%), Senegal (0.17%), Togo (0.46%), MRU (0.31%), ECOWAS (0.36%), Africa (0.51%), Europe (1.05%), North America (1.69%) South America (1.15%), Asia (3.64%) and the world (1.93%). Percentage increase in total recoveries was lower in Burkina Faso (0.04%) and Nigeria (0.01%) compared to Sierra Leone. Benin recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
