Sierra Leone recorded 0.10% increase in COVID-19 infections, from March 6-20, 2022.
Percentage increase in COVID-19 infections over the period was lower in Sierra Leone compared to Benin (1.42%), Ivory Coast (0.15%), Gambia (0.37%), Ghana (0.48%), Guinea-Bissau (0.86%), Liberia (0.18%), Mali (0.17%), Niger (0.32%), Nigeria (0.20%), Senegal (0.11%), Togo (0.16%), the Manor River Union or MRU (0.13%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.26%), Africa (0.86%), Europe (6.89%), North America (0.86%), South America (1.98%), Asia (10.21%) and the world (5.85%). On the other hand, percentage increase in total infections was lower in Cape Verde (0.06%) compared to Sierra Leone. Percentage increase in total infections was the same in Guinea (0.10%) as Sierra Leone. Benin recorded zero infection over the period.
Asia (1.93%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total deaths compared to Ivory Coast (0.25%), Ghana (0.21%), Guinea-Bissau (1.20%), Mali (0.41%), Niger (0.33%), Senegal (0.20%), MRU (0.12%), ECOWAS (0.14%), Africa (0.85%), Europe (1.89%), North America (1.35%), South America (0.83%) and the world (1.51%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gambia, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Togo recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Guinea (9.14%) recorded the highest percentage increase in recoveries compared to Cape Verde (0.06%), Ivory Coast (0.82%), Gambia (0.28%), Ghana (0.81%), Guinea-Bissau (0.91%), Mali (0.20%), Niger (0.36%), Nigeria (0.12%), Senegal (0.16%) Togo (0.34%), MRU (2.98%), ECOWAS (0.71%), Africa (1.34%), Europe (8.96%), North America (4.78%), South America (4.23%), Asia (5.16%) and the world (6.40%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Liberia and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
