Sierra Leone recorded 0.02% increase in total COVID-19 infections over the week, from November 21-28.
In comparison, Sierra Leone recorded the lowest percentage increase in COVID-19 infections compared to Burkina Faso (1.27%), Cape Verde (0.09%), Ivory Coast (0.21%), Gambia (0.03%), Ghana (0.15%), Guinea (0.16%), Guinea-Bissau (0.09%), Liberia (0.05%), Mali (2.25%), Niger (2.43%), Nigeria (0.21%), Togo (0.16%), the Manor River Union or MRU (0.17%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.25%), Africa (0.64%), Europe (3.51%), North America (1.00%), South America (0.35%), Asia (0.78%) and the world (1.51%). Percentage increase in total infections in Benin (0.02%) and Senegal (0.02%) was the same as Sierra Leone.
Niger (6.72%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total deaths compared to Burkina Faso (6.04%), Ivory Coast (0.28%), Gambia (0.29%), Ghana (0.17%), Mali (2.03%), Nigeria (0.07%), MRU (0.13%), ECOWAS (0.54%), Africa (0.56%), Europe (1.87%), North America (0.66%), South America (0.24%), Asia (0.85%) and the world (0.93%). Benin, Cape Verde, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Togo recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Europe (3.67%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total recoveries compared to Burkina Faso (1.35%), Cape Verde (0.08%), Ivory Coast (0.24%), Gambia (0.04%), Ghana (0.28%), Guinea (0.25%), Guinea-Bissau (1.26%), Mali (0.88%), Niger (3.27%), Nigeria (0.34%), Senegal (0.02%), Togo (0.24%), MRU (0.22%), ECOWAS (0.31%), Africa (0.90%), North America (1.05%), South America (0.33%), Asia (0.86%) and the world (1.57%). Benin, Liberia and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
