East End Lions vs Old Edwardians
Since East End Lions returned from Kono, they are still resting. Old Edwardians as well have had a thorough rest since their last game against FC Kallon. So both teams have a lot of energy to come with this evening.
Back in the first rounds, when these teams met, Lions won by a narrow margin, 1-0 and Musa Tombo missed a penalty. This is not the same Edwards team; they are more confident and more matured. Last week they held title contenders Kallon to 0-0 draw. This is an exciting one for the neutrals.
Lions will know that they can’t slip up twice in the same month and get away with it. They are under pressure to show that what happened in Kono was a mistake. The pressure is on them now.
John Kiester, over to you.

Demolition for Blackpool
Kamboi Eagles just demolished Mighty Blackpool last evening. Spectacular! The Eagles coach will take solace in the fact that his team can score so many goals in a game even without their star striker. Their lead striker, Ron Ghandi Williams is out for the rest of the season after fracturing his jaw bone. Kamboi Eagles are now third in the table, just where they need to be to put pressure on Lions and FC Kallon. We could be back to a three horse race by June.
This shows that Blackpool still have a lot of work to do. Everyone thought that the bad times are over but a loss of this magnitude needs a deep soul searching.
How the Mighty have fallen?
Parade woes continue
Central Parade on Sunday lost their third game in five matches, after a 2-0 encounter with FC Kallon. To make matters worse, their coach was also sent to the stands.
Last week’s win against FCFC was sign that perhaps Parade were back, but not quite. However, they should take a huge comfort in their performance against FC Kallon. On a whole they deserved something from the game.
Parade are still 3rd with 25 points.
On a whole this win for FC Kallon means they will be top of the table till East End Lions play against Old Edwardians tomorrow. They now have 33 points, two points above second place East End Lions.
Kallon were urgent from the first minute to the last, all around the pitch. It was a great performance. Though you will feel 2-0 didn’t really tell the actual story, no one will argue that they didn’t deserve the three points.
Bo Rangers are coming
If anyone was thinking that their last win was a fluke then they should be concerned now. Bo Rangers won 2-0 against Ports Authority in Bo. That was their third victory of the season and their second win at home. This win almost means that they have won back to back matches for the first time this season.
It’s not much but it is progress. Whatever the new coach has been up to, it’s working. The win moves them temporarily to 11th with 14 points in total.
Ports Authority, need to be worried now. This is not one or two bad games, this is becoming a pattern.
