MAKENI MAYOR’S EXTREMELY ANGRY OUTBURST GOES VIRAL
The Mayor of King Messi’s fortress city of Makeni is in a real mess of her own making right now. A SEVENTEEN-minute – or so – long WhatsApp voice note she sent to her husband has gone viral across many social media platforms. It’s a thoroughly embarrassing piece of rant by the Lady Mayor who was trying to deal with an apparent infidelity of the hubby. We have listened to the whole thing THREE times, taking careful note of some very important issues we will be dealing with in the New Year.
The Mayor has subsequently gone on social media, ONCE AGAIN, this time in video, calling on the whole world to delete the previous audio and pretend it never existed because this was a private audio to her husband which a rogue family member leaked. That’s a clever argument to make. However, for people like us in the media, one of our biggest sources of news is the LEAK. In other words materials leaked by all kinds of people for all kinds of reasons, especially about public officials. We don’t know why this so-called rogue family member she referred to in her second message leaked that piece. What we know is that the material is ABSOLUTELY important. It definitely is, because it gives us an insight into the personality of our dear mayor!
We want to put the following points on record as we proceed:
1. There is no doubt that this was a very private commentary sent from wife to dear husband. And to be honest in many homes around the world such conversations take place daily. The difference is, much of it is NEVER so meticulously documented and transmitted by means of a social media tool. We also can’t be sure such family disagreements are always so angry and threatening. Imagine there is a public interest issue of the cover-up of an alleged killing of someone.
2. Makeni Mayor should know that people don’t eat their cake on social media and expect to have it back. As long as somebody decides to put something on any of those platforms, they should expect such material to eventually reach other platform through the work of a rogue uncle or a political enemy. That’s the nature of the game.
3. The call for people to delete and forget is great but this is now archival material that people will continue to use all over the place, depending on the circumstance. The small lesson for you is that you should never allow your emotions to drive you into using the kind of language we heard from you. They call it self-control.
4. We believe that even public office holders should be allowed to have a private life. The difficulty is that the line between public and private is VERY thin – almost nonexistent. Public officers should therefore be extremely careful not to put themselves in the position you find yourself in now.
5. Anyway, have a good Christmas and New Year celebrations. We will start 2021 with some of the red meat you served in that audio. We are done with your side of things.
GAFFE-PRONE SENIOR PREFECT IN DIPLOMATIC BLUNDER
Principal should be careful NEVER to consider appointing SENIOR PREFECT as Minister of Foreign Affairs, as we hear the latter wants. The reclusive lady holding that job looks out of her depth with an arrogance of monumental proportions, but please don’t take Senior Prefect to the nice building on Tower Hill. It will be like lobbing a gas container into a raging fire.
So Senior Prefect made a somewhat strange presidential entry into that small conference hall at beautiful Bo Inn as keynote speaker at the recent Ministry of Information media retreat and spoke – perhaps rambled – for something like TWO hours. For some strange reason Senior Prefect thought that was a great opportunity to attack the THIRD TERM projects in Ivory Coast and Guinea. Sierra Leoneans absolutely hate any talk about a presidential third term, we know that. We were part of those who fought and defeated AFTER YOU NAR YOU not so long ago. But in the spirit of the MRU and good neighbourliness, was it a good thing for Senior Prefect to attack those two countries on that floor and in the capacity he was there?
While he was doing so, Principal’s plane was landing in Conakry where he was due to attend the inauguration of the ageing power-glutinous THIRD TERM man Alpha Conde. He was flying in from the inauguration of another foolish intellectual THIRD TERM man, Alhassan Ouattara’s in Ivory Coast.. We should now wait and see how those two leaders would react once the statement from Senior Prefect, which was carried live on radio, is relayed back by diplomatic cable to the two countries. Senior Prefect may well have gone over the line in his comments about the internal affairs of those two countries of the MRU, especially with his boss right there at the time.
Senior Prefect has to be careful. Now Principal looks like this hypocrite who travelled all the way to those two countries to celebrate with his colleagues while at the same time allowing his very powerful Senior Prefect to attack the very basis of his presence in both countries.
Anyway, we congratulate the Minister of Information and staff for that important programme. It was packed with enough information that journalists will be playing with until the second half of 2021.
JOHANSEN THREATENS HOT FAVOURITE RODNEY MICHAEL AGAIN
The SLFA of queen Johansen recently threatened the Rod against accusing them of incompetence, lack of foresight and we add, for good measure, possible corruption. In fact they tailored the press statement to attract the attention of their Pay Masters in Zurich called FIFA. It would appear as if the queen’s operatives are all over the place trying to pick on every word falling from the lips of the Rod, the guy who can beat the queen in any free and fair election any day in that SLFA. That is a fact! She has been working for seven years to avoid facing the Rod at the ballot box. It’s looking inevitable now and our darling queen is once again searching for the outdated and undemocratic style unopposed process. It will NOT happen this time.
The queen has still not pronounced the Congress dates and only God knows why not, but for the result of the so-called football family, the race is on right now. Picking on the words of your opponents and threatening them with action for bringing FIFA into disrepute will not help. Imagine how many families you have destroyed with you over FIVE-YEAR search for your match-fixing needle in a haystack of clean guys like Rod.
As far as we are concerned you should have resigned the day your ETHICS COMMITTEE said you had no case against good people like Rod and Kanasieu, but you are hanging around trying to rope the same people into other issues. We want FAIR competition please! That is the least anyone can ask for!
WELCOME TO THE CHRISTMAS EVE PARTY FOR COI PROPERTY OWNERS.
We are now only a few days away from the expiration of the NINETY DAY DEADLINE set by Principal for all those indicted by the government WHITE PAPER for stealing from their grandchildren to pay up or forfeit the stolen cash and mansions in Freetown and elsewhere. So the date is 24th December 2020.
We have secured some great pictures of the properties that are likely to end up in our hands in Freetown. We have now multiplied the RIBAR Hotel situation several times over. By RIBAR Hotel situation we are talking about that hotel in Koidu City that the ACC took control of and passed over to the government because the real owners denied owning it when the anti-graft body asked the relevant questions. Despite months of waiting, nobody showed up to claim RIBAR HOTEL.
The government white paper of the COI pointed to at least THREE properties that the owners refused to claim just because investigators were circling over them. What does that tell the good people of Sierra Leone about what happened to this country for ELEVEN years under King Messi? It’s just like this is not happening in the real world – you spend hundreds of thousands of US dollars to build a house and then deny it belongs to you. Who does that?
On Christmas Eve we should start by taking those ones over quickly use them for the following purposes:
1. We need proper SAFE HOUSES for all the young people that are being raped across the country. Let’s put them in some of these abandoned properties and counsel them before returning them to society with a fresh chance to make the best of their lives.
2. There are many homeless people in our cities. We should make those houses available to them either to live permanently in them or use it as a drop-in area to get at least one hot meal a day.
3. Let’s open more maternity hospitals across Freetown. We should drastically reduce maternal mortality in this country by providing vital pre-natal care to our mothers and sisters.
4. We can use them as hostels for our university students. We should clearly brand them as PROCEEDS of CRIME. The billboard should be visible from a mile away.
5. To shorten a long story we can simply sell these houses and put whatever money we realize into the national coffers?
