USL Admin distributes tablets to staff

In a bid to enhance the efficiency of key staff, the administration of the University of Sierra Leone on Monday, 14th August handed over Tablets to the Deputy Registrars of its three constituent colleges for onward distribution to all Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments and other key administrative staff members including those at the School of Postgraduates Studies and the eLearning Centre.

Sierra Leone agrees to send troops to Niger

Sierra Leone has agreed to contribute troops to the crisis-ridden Niger where the army overthrew the elected president, Mohamed Bazoum in July, prompting West African heads of state to put on standby the ECOWAS Standing Force.

Minister of Information, Chernor Bah told Politico that the country would be contributing troops to the force that should move into the former French colony to reinstate the ousted president.

Police warn against illegal demonstration in Sierra Leone

Abacha Street traders get two months grace period to vacate

Education ministry engages principals on secondary school placement

Officials of the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE) in collaboration with the National Commission for Basic Education (NCBE) and Teaching Service Commission (TSC) have engaged Principals of Junior Secondary Schools (JSS) in Kailahun and Kenema districts regarding pupils that passed the National Primary School Examination (NPSE) to be enrolled into JSS.

The regional placement meeting was held in Kenema on the 9th of August, 2023.
