FAFA Inter Area to start

The Fourah Bay Amateur Football Association (FAFA) Inter Area Community competition sponsored by the chairman of the Western Area Football Association (WAFA) Abdul Hamid Kanasieu is scheduled to start mid September at the Oxley Ground, Fourah Bay.

Kalilu Fadika Bags SCAA Award

Football Philanthropist, Kalilu Fadika over the weekend received an award from the Sports Commentators and Analyst Association (SCAA) for his contribution to sports development. According to the Vice President of SCAA, Edmond Foray Fidika has contributed immensely to promoting sports in the country.

Foray said the young man has also impacted the lives of the youths across the country. He said Fadika has provided jobs for young people and has volunteered to manage a club comprising twenty five young players, which according him will serve as an inspiration to others.

Bawoh is FIVB Referee

Mohamed Benson Bawoh one of the most outstanding volleyball players Sierra Leone has produced in recent times will receive his international referee Badge after three years of evaluation by the international body governing volleyball. He was recently informed of that position.

According Bawoh the establishment of a National Referees' Commission for the first time in the history of the game and the Association, has brought recognition and commitment to the development of volleyball in Sierra Leone.

COFA update…Four teams in quarter-finals

Four teams have reached the quarter-final stage of the Central One Football Association (COFA) non-division league at the parade grounds. They are Same Face FC, Mountain City FC, Med Mans FC and Real Mack FC.

Same face defeated Talaban Football Club By 1-0, Mountain City qualified on post game penalties 5-4 against Flex FC after a 2-2 draw. Real Mack got a 1-0 win against Area Best in replay after the first leg ended 1-1.
