The Chairman of Sheffield United Football Club, Fred Claye has donated football equipment to the Grafton Development Organization (GDO) during the final of its Inter Community league between Shooting Stars and Kissy Strikers at Grafton Playing field last weekend.
Claye donated the winner’s trophy, and Hummel - branded boots, bags, towel, hose and shin guards, to the winner and runners-up respectively. He told the gathering he was happy to be part of the campaign to improve football in the area.
He pleaded with the players to continue playing football with the hope of succeeding in the end. Claye praised the champions Kissy Strikers and called on the losers Shooting Stars to be courageous.
The Champions Kissy Strikers received a cash prize of Le500.000 while Shooting Stars received Le200.000.
