Ibrahim Sorie, a sports reporter based in Kambia district has told Politico that sports in the town of Rokupr needs a "facelift". He said “sporting activities have so declined in the town that the Ministry of Sport must urgently step in and rescue the situation. According to Sorie most footballers and athletes do their sport barefoot. Sorie said, “access to sponsorship is non-existent because business houses are not interested. He appealed for urgent help for the community which according to him, has many talented sportsmen and women who could represent Sierra Leone at international level. (C) Politico 27/08/13
