TIMBERGATE WAHALA,  MAY THE OTHERS STEP FORWARD?

Well, we have Richie Boy firmly in our grasp. We are preparing him for his day in court. And that should be soon. But you know, we have been thinking hard about the whole TIMBERGATE SAGA and our conclusion is that we have not been told the whole truth in this matter. Even after those in hand now are certainly convicted, the whole truth will remain locked up inside those timber containers awaiting export. We refuse to be fooled this time.

We have it on good authority that there are big National Revenue Authority hands in the background. We have also been encouraged to lift our eyes up to Tower Hill and zero in on the Office of National Security, ONS. In fact, we now want to call on these three hands to step forward right now.

We know of a very restless ONS personnel who despite being informed of all the illegal exports, well beyond that approved by De Pa, failed to alert the authorities. He was visibly restless when Richie Boy's Timber Land friend was picked up by police.

If the authorities refuse to unmask the two hands at NRA and their friend at ONS who are talking about, we will be left with no alternative but to publish the people's case against them. Our dossier is centered on a CONSPIRACY CHARGE.

And De Pa should not create the impression it's impossible to go after the foreign companies that have been illegally buying timber from Sierra Leone. This is a very serious matter and Politico stands ready to contribute to a basket fund for such a case to be heard in Belgium.

Now we know that Chief Sidikie was definitely not the man selling timber. Unless we are convinced otherwise, and please, not by Sorious Samura, we will conclude that Sidikie was framed. But a cloud continues to hang over his political future especially in the eyes of a very gullible populace. The truth about what now looks like an elaborate set up is unfolding before our very eyes.

"PALACE COUP" OR NOT, THE GREEN MOVEMENT HAS MESSED UP

We believe that Sierra Leoneans have now realised that they will be making a serious mistake thinking they will find solace in the Green Movement from the corruption and disorganisation of their Red cousins. No way! The Green Movement is sinking deeper and deeper into the unnecessary mess it created for itself.

What we call THE MAIN OPPOSITION party is an intoxicating mix of opportunists, anarchists, people with an exaggerated opinion of their self-worth and badly-led able-bodied young people. Nobody should take them seriously. They are stuck in their past while the rest of us are moving on.

Their sit-tight parliamentary leader was on radio the other day and all we heard was: "the constitution, eh, eh, eh, the functions of the executive, eh, eh, eh, the National Executive Council, eh, eh, eh". Please make a full and coherent sentence without this eh, eh, eh...thing.

At some point in the unnecessarily bad tempered interview, we thought it was King Solo all over again, eh, eh, eh.

Those who can't make one sentence without saying eh, eh, eeeeeeeeeeh, cannot win elections.

DEAR MR. NATIONAL ASSESTS MAN: WE ARE NOT IMPRESSED

De Pa is well known for creating commissions and deputy ministerial positions just to satisfy cronies. Only God and De Pa know why he thought it was a good idea to bring back a dead and totally meaningless commission like the so-called National Assets nonsense. As far as we are concerned this commission is there only to drain resources away from central government.

If those running that bogus commission think we are wrong, let them publish their annual report. Isn't that why a man who wants to be in the private sector and also maintain a political foothold in the public sector is busy assaulting journalists? If he had some serious job to do and he was well aware that journalists represent the voice of the people, he would never have assaulted any of them.

This is one country in which we keep mixing up roles. How can we be sure that the man's private sector interests are not getting in the way of his public responsibilities? By the way, what about that car that was supposed to have been auctioned which somebody was driving until the owner launched a vociferous media campaign that ended at State House with the car being returned to him? Was that part of "NATIONAL ASSEST"?

Can anybody seriously tell us that our NATIONAL ASSETS are in order even with this bogus commission? But the guy takes liberty to assault a journalist and gets away with accepting at first and then denying he did after being warned of the consequences.

If Sierra Leone football is in the shape it is in today it is because our man has always treated it like his own asset - taking positions mainly to protect his own interests. We are not the only ones saying this. Ask all those associated with the game.

This is the only country where journalists are assaulted in this way without any serious national outcry and prosecutions. He has always used political cover to do many things. We have started looking at some paper as we investigate certain things. Our documents go as far back as AFRC days. That should be interesting. Stay with Politico.

CHARLES TAYLOR WANTS A "FAMILY LIFE", WE WANT JUSTICE

Strange vibes are coming from one of Her Majesty's jails in the UK. A man convicted of aiding and abetting mass murder in Sierra Leone wants to be able to see his wife and children. He wants to be able to perform his conjugal responsibilities inside a prison yard. Hahahaha! We taya sef!

We don't understand why this war criminal is making such noises. He has no respect for the thousands of people across West Africa who have lost everything - including their families - just because he wouldn't stop at anything to gain the whole world.

The next thing Charles Taylor will ask for is for him to be declared president of Liberia and be allowed to hold cabinet meetings in prison and then do weekly radio broadcast to the Liberian people. That will represent a great leap in making the prison system in the UK look like a great picnic out in the Maldives.

How dare this war criminal ask that he be transferred to Rwanda? Sorry bro, you will stay in jail in the UK. Let your wife and children come and visit. But they must get a visa first.

The people of West Africa are tired of being insulted by Taylor. Justice has been done to us by way of the Special Court for Sierra Leone - Taylor stays in Her Majesty's Jail. That's it. Let's continue rebuilding our shattered lives and ruined communities across the Mano River Union.

HELLO NASSIT, PLEASE CHANGE THAT FLAG

When NASSIT gets a new substantive Director General, and we hope pretty soon, their first task will be to change that Sierra Leone flag on top of their building at the Walpole Street end. It's a disgrace. The national flag is badly torn and the big guys at NASSIT are pretending things are bright and beautiful.

Can NASSIT Public Relations staff please send us the telephone number of their estate manager? We want to help him select high quality material to do the flag so that it's not easily destroyed by wind.

We hope our savings have not been torn to shreds like that flag. We shall pass by your building again on Friday to see whether you've hung a new flag. Land that we love, our Sierra Leone!
