By Kemoh Sesay

The Head Coach of Ports Authority Football Club Ken Tabie is optimistic that his former player Nathaniel Thongo-Fullah "will prove himself worthy with Seattle Sounders Football Club in the United State if he succeeds in his trials."

He said that the 18 year-old will "do his best to prove his mettle among big players in Major League Soccer because playing alongside big players in the world will help him achieve more laurels."

The Midfielder was first scouted by the chairman of Ports Authority Football Club Abdul Kanasieu during the 2010-11 Fourah Bay inter area league where he represented Kissy community.

Thongo- Fullah got his first call up to the under - 20 national team in April 2014 during their 1-0 win against Guinea and was subsequently invited to the national team squad for a match against Swaziland in the same year.

Prior to his departure he told Politico that the trial in the USA is "a big opportunity and I hope to put up a good display so that I can break into the team...it's not going to be easy but I believe in my skills and dedication to help me develop myself and my country."
