The Airtel Rising Stars under 17 football tournament starts today at the Brima Attouga Mini Complex in the east of Freetown with a march past across the field by all eighteen clubs taking part in the Western Area segment of the tournament.
Traditional dancers and other performing artists will also be in attendance to entertain guests. Airtel head of media and branding for Joel Oulai, said “Airtel will present a set of football jersey carrying the Airtel logo to each participating club in this year’s tournament.” The project implementing agency Medium Hypes will conduct an open ballot for the clubs in preparing the fixtures for the tournament.
