Ibrahim Bangura has been elected president of the African Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation (ABPF). His election was communicated to the Minister of Sport by the global body, (WBPF) on 6th December 2012, following the organization’s electoral congress held in Bangkok, Thailand. According to the letter, Bangura will now lead the African continent, register the continental federation and communicate with all members in Africa. Bangura told Journalists that he will do all in his power to ensure that Africa is put on the map in the area of bodybuilding and physique sports. He was elected President of the Sierra Leone Weight Lifting Association early this year at a congress organized by the Association. The other African who was also elected into the executive was Sayed Salama ocf Egypt.
