Former Leone Stars international striker, Abdul Raman Sesay, commonly known as (Dodos) has officially launched a non-governmental organisation called Give Back to the Children at Brima Lane in the east of Freetown.
He said he wants to provide another lifeline for destitute children in Freetown owing to his experiences as a footballer from a humble background.
Sesay said there are many young players still “going the hard way to survive” and described himself as one of the luckiest young players from a poor community to have escaped from the “misfortunes of life to play in the Major League Soccer in the USA”.
He said educating young kids in the field of technology will help them secure life-changing jobs, pointing out that more than about 60% of children in the country can’t use computers, which was why he said, he thought it fit to provide computer training and equipment for them.
