Sixteen Community teams are set to take part in the upcoming inter-area gala organised by the Central One Football Association (COFA), commencing on the 30th August 2015 at Parade Grounds in Freetown.
According to COFA Organizing Secretary Mohamed Yapo Sillah, this is part of a fund-raising drive towards the completion of construction work at Parade Grounds which was badly affected by funding shortfall caused by the Ebola crisis. Sillah said they intended to start the proper league when the perimeter fence was completed so that fans wouldn't enter the playing area to cause confusion.
Some of the participating teams include Krootown Road, Kingtom, Texas and Leicester communities.
