Africell unveils ‘Crazy Cash’

By Bampia James Bundu

As Sierra Leoneans prepare to celebrate the country’s 53rd anniversary, one of the country’s GSM operators, Africell has launched a “ thrilling cash promotion to ensure that Sierra Leoneans get enough money in their pockets as they celebrate the independence”, according to the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Joe Abass Bangura.

Whiles speaking at the launch at Wilberforce, Bangura said the ‘Crazy Cash’ promotion would offer lucky subscribers to win Le10 million daily from 7 April - 4 May 2014.

To qualify for the daily draw, he explained, subscribers must recharge their phones with 100 units, which would earn them a chance into the daily electronic draws.

“Every additional 100 units recharge gives the subscriber another chance. The more you recharge the more chances you get to win”, he said.

He added that subscribers who recharged 25 or 50 units would only qualify after reaching the target of 100 units per chance.

Bangura went on that the recharge period ranged from midnight to 11:00 pm. “If a subscriber wants to know how many chances he/she has got for the day, he/she should send a blank message to 966”, he furthered, and assured the public that the draws would also be broadcast live and simultaneously on the SLBC TV and the Africa Independent Radio F.M 105.3 from 10:00pm to 11:00pm daily, as well as on some other radio stations across the country.

Africell’s Public Relations Officer, Tommy Terry Coker, noted that his company was well known for “throwing wonderful promotions across the country”, adding that they had been giving a lot of goodies to their subscribers. He pleaded with subscribers to recharge more and get many more chances of winning more cash.
