The Fan Club of Bo Rangers Football Club has in a press release dated 8th May, 2023 criticized FC Kallon regarding another press release dated 3rd May, 2023, asking their fans to boycott their match against Bo Rangers in Bo.
The FC Kallon release was citing repeated hostility, aggression and desperation displayed by the Bo Rangers fans against them during their last three meetings which prompted them to ask their supporters to boycott the match.
According to Rangers fan club, the release was not only a hoax but also a misguided attempt to distract their team and paint the club in a bad light. It stated that, their response is to defend the reputation they have built over the years, which is a strong brand and most importantly to encourage the public to fairly compare the two teams and make an informed decision.
The release pointed out that, the club has played eleven competitive home matches this season, including against one of the title contenders, Mighty Blackpool where there has been no evidence of hostility and aggression that will confirm FC Kallon’s ‘illogical’ accusations. It also noted that the club has drawn more home matches than away and there is no single incident pointing to the fact that they have lost their cool and are desperate to win at all cost.
The Bo Rangers fan club however noted in the release that, unlike their club, FC Kallon had been meted with various disciplinary actions like the suspension of referees to participate in all of their matches due to ‘numerous unsportsmanship’ behavior by the head coach and other technical staff. It also recalled how the premier League Board addressed an abandoned match between FC Kallon and Bo Rangers which ruling vindicated Rangers and meted punishment including fines to some of their players and officials found guilty.
Also, the fan Club cited FC Kallon’s matches between Bai Bureh Warriors on the 10th December, 2022 and FC Johansen on the 23rd December, 2022 and FC Kallon’s involvement in ‘brawls’ with other teams in the premier league.
The Bo Rangers fan club concluded by stating that the accusations made by FC Kallon against them are baseless and an attempt to tarnish their good reputation and brand.
