COFA set to give Parade Grounds a facelift

The Central One Football Association (COFA) has asked squatters to leave the parade grounds for the improvement of the facility to take place before the start of their league season.

COFA Chairman Sammah Sesay said they intend to construct a perimeter fence, a pavilion and dressing rooms for the teams.

"We have instructed all squatters to leave and we are using our own money to fund this project",  said Sesay.

He said COFA was looking out for sponsors to support the project, which according to him cost a lot of money. Sesay said after the upgrade, Parade would be "a different place because lots of recreational activities would be hosted there with community people having access to the field".

The current Ebola outbreak in the country he said has forced them to suspend their league until further notice as instructed by the government. "We are doing our own sensitization to all participating teams about Ebola".
