Same face FC and Malcolm FC have sailed through to the final of the non-division league organised by the Central One Football Association (COFA.
Same face defeated Tottenham FC 1-0 in the first semi final match, whilst Malcolm FC won on post game penalties against Med Mans FC 5 - 4. Both qualifying teams are based in the same Central One community.
Head coach of Malcolm FC Ishmael Mammah said he was very impressed with his boys' performance throughout the competition because it demonstrated that "my efforts have not gone in vain... this is the first time my team has reached the final in the COFA non-division league since its inception and I am looking forward to winning the trophy which is our ultimate aim especially for our fans’’.
Same Face FC reached the final unbeaten and their head coach Alusine Conteh expressed joy at their success because “we want to be amongst the likes of Real Mack who have won the competition unbeaten".
Conteh said his boys gave a good account of themselves by maintaining their mental discipline. He said, "I am looking up to winning our first-ever COFA non-division Championship in our club's history as no team in the Central community has ever won that trophy...we want to be the first team to break the deadlock’’.
