Kamboi Eagles coach, Alhaji Foray, has said his team would get back to the drawing board and analyze their way forward after their defeat on Wednesday.
Their seven match unbeaten run was ended by FC Johansen after Melvin Davies’ 4th minute goal at the National Stadium.
Eagles had not even conceded a goal through out the season before Davies scored against them.
In the post-match press conference, Foray said this was just one match and his team would bounce back to perform strongly in the coming fixtures.
“I think we have to go back to the drawing board to prepare before our next match, next week against East End Tigers. Surely, we are playing home and we are still confident that we can make it. Losing one match doesn’t mean we aren’t still the league leaders.”
Eagles are still top of the table with 16 points. It could go up to 19 but a possible three points against East End Lions has not been awarded to them yet because the game was called off after 75 minutes because of fan trouble.
FC Johansen who struggled to get a win in their first six games have now registered three consecutive wins. Coach of the team, Abdulai Kaloga Bah, said his team now has the confidence they had been looking for all season.
“What we were searching for is confidence, because most of these guys are young guys, coming into the league of this nature we need to win matches. Now we have won three matches straight. I believe the confidence of the team is up there,” Bah said.
As of Thursday FC Johansen, were now in 5th position.
They will now face East End Lions on Sunday.
