Mexican Ambassador to Ghana engages Sierra Leone High Commissioner

 The new Ambassador of Mexico to Sierra Leone, who is resident in Ghana, Ms. Norma Ang, on Friday 12 April, paid a courtesy visit to High Commissioner Francess Virginia Anderson.

The visit at the Chancery saw the discussions of how both heads of mission will continue deepening the already bilateral ties existing between Sierra Leone and Mexico with both countries open to collaboration and networking.

In her welcome address, High Commissioner Anderson spoke of the great relationship that existed between her and Ms Norma’s predecessor, the late ambassador Enrique Escorza, while assuring her of the mission and Sierra Leone’s support for the betterment of both countries.

Commissioner Anderson also spoke about  her country and team’s preparedness in ensuring projects and collaborations aimed at the betterment of both countries are realized, especially those that fall within the big five game changers  of President Julius Maada Bio’s government.

In her remarks Ms. Norma Ang expressed appreciation to Sierra Leone’s  High commissioner  for the meeting, noting that she cannot wait to start working with her immediately so that projects halted due to the death of her predecessor  are activated for proper implementation.

She explained that with Sierra Leone now being a member at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), so many experiences can be shared between the two countries as Mexico ended its term not too long ago.

Both countries she said can work on many issues ranging from cooperation, initiatives, exchange of information and other programmes, while promising that on her part, her Embassy will also look into the processes involved in acquiring Mexican visas.

 She ended by expressing hope for better representation of both countries, which will further strengthen the existing bilateral ties.
