The Member of Parliament for constituency 94 in the Western Rural Area, Kemoko Conteh has told his constituents to be vigilant and prepare for the fight against the deadly Ebola disease now plaguing the country.
The MP urged the people "not to politicise Ebola because this is a national fight". He called on them to adhere to all precautions prescribed by the ministry of health.
Hon. Conteh said he "targeted Five-Five Junction, Tombo and Kono Lorry Parks, because people always gather in these places" and warned them to "stop denying the existence of the disease". "Ebola is real and very dangerous".
Constituency chairlady Isata Kamara told the gathering that "women should be in the forefront of this fight against Ebola and not to allow people to distract you with denials".
The chairlady said "it is our role as mothers to oversee hygiene in and out of the homes and we must pay great attention to our children, because they are more vulnerable as they move from place to place".
The MP donated chlorine and hand sanitizers in the three targeted areas.
One of the recipients at Kona Park Mustapha Kamara said as a young person, he believes that Ebola is real and he would help spread the message about the disease.
