Rashid Conteh a Sierra Leonean who plays American Football for the University of Maryland in the United States of America has told Politico that he will fly his country’s flag high in his sports.
“I will make sure that I reach the peak so that my country will be proud of me’’, he said. Conteh said he has played for the University for three years as a defender.
The sport, he said is the most popular game in the USA and ‘’I was inspired by Gibrill Wilson another Sierra Leonean player who has made his mark in the sport, I am proud of him as my mentor".
Conteh promised to give back to his country by setting up a foundation to help the less privileged and developing education in the country.
