In an effort to simplify financial services in the country, an Information Communications Technology company, Monime which deals with financial technology or (Fintec) has launched a new platform dubbed the Next-generation aimed at revolutionising payment processing services in Sierra Leone.
The platform was launched on the 10th February, 2023 at the institution’s Hill side bye-pass Road office in Freetown.
In his presentation, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Monime, Sorieba Daffae explained that the platform offers a unique combination of advanced technology and user-friendly features that makes it the go-to solution for individuals and businesses of all sizes.
He pointed out that he was thrilled to launch what he referred to as a game-changing solution for the payment industry. He stated that his team has worked tirelessly to create the product that he said does not only address the challenges faced by businesses, but also provides a seamless and intuitive experience for individuals.
“We believe Monime will set a new standard for payment solutions and help our customers achieve their goals more efficiently and effectively,” he said.
He explained that the platform allows for the seamless collection of payments from mobile wallets, credit cards and banks using a single interface. He also stated that it provides standard Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and documentation for potential fintech and e-commerce solution providers to reduce market time.
Daffae proudly said that the product has already received positive feedbacks from early adopters, who have praised its ease of use, advanced technology and outstanding results.

He emphasized that some of the challenges the country is facing is the proliferation of cash in the market and asked for the consolidation of that process. He said should the country go digital, its economy can be controlled. He also said that digitization saves time, increases efficiency and grows the country’s economy.
CEO Daffae reiterated that, Monime will only charge 2 percent of transactions they receive depending on the type of work they engage in with any potential partner.
