Sierra Leone recorded 0.16% and 1.70% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 72 hours, from Saturday (10:00 am) to Tuesday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total cases was lower compared to Benin (10.50%), Burkina Faso (0.80%), Cape Verde (0.78%), Ivory Coast (1.69%), Gambia (2.60%), Ghana (2.89%), Guinea (0.72%), Guinea-Bissau (1.92%), Liberia (1.48%), Niger (0.51%), Nigeria (1.67%), Senegal (2.96%), Togo (2.17%), the Manor River Union or MRU (1.29%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (1.99%), Africa (0.86%), Europe (0.97%), North America (0.77%), South America (1.00%), Asia (0.77%) and the world (0.87%). Percentage increase in total cases in Mali (0.16%) was the same as Sierra Leone.
Benin (10.71%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total deaths compared to Burkina Faso (0.73%), Ivory Coast (1.16%), Gambia (2.22%), Ghana (7.33%), Guinea (1.19%), Liberia (1.19%), Mali (0.59%), Nigeria (1.56%), Senegal (2.59%), Togo (1.25%), MRU (0.95%), ECOWAS (2.22%), Africa (1.15%), Europe (1.13%), North America (1.16%), South America (1.01%), Asia (0.61%) and the world (1.03%). Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Niger and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Benin (4.98%), Burkina Faso (2.05%), Ivory Coast (1.84%), Ghana (2.66%), Nigeria (3.49%), Senegal (2.99%), Togo (2.20%), ECOWAS (2.61%), Europe (14.08%) and the world (4.28%). Percentage increase in total recoveries in Cape Verde (0.75%), Gambia (0.26%), Guinea (0.62%), Guinea-Bissau (1.32%), Mali (0.75%), Niger (0.48%), MRU (1.40%), Africa (1.01%), South America (1.40%) and Asia (0.99%) was lower compared to Sierra Leone. North America (1.70%) recorded the same percentage increase in total recoveries as Sierra Leone. Liberia recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
