Sierra Leone recorded 0.10% and 0.14% increase in COVID-19 total cases and total deaths respectively in 72 hours, from Saturday (10:00 am) to Tuesday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total cases was lower compared to Burkina Faso (0.59%), Cape Verde (0.84%), Ivory Coast (2.94%), Gambia (1.62%), Ghana (1.44%), Guinea (1.47%), Guinea-Bissau (1.44%), Mali (1.36%), Niger (0.25%), Nigeria (0.35%), Senegal (1.17%), Togo (3.38%), the Manor River Union or MRU (2.23%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (1.06%), Africa (0.69%), Europe (1.21%), North America (0.51%), South America (1.21%), Asia (1.04%) and the world (0.95%). Benin and Liberia recorded zero increase in total cases.
Ghana (5.34%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total deaths compared to Cape Verde (0.65%), Ivory Coast (0.95%), Guinea (0.98%), Mali (0.83%), Niger (1.11%), Nigeria (0.35%), Senegal (2.84%), Togo (3.23%), MRU (0.63%), ECOWAS (1.53%), Africa (0.80%), Europe (0.87%), North America (0.48%), South America (1.20%), Asia (0.59%) and the world (0.77%). Benin, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia and Sierra Leone recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total recoveries was lower compared to Burkina Faso (0.19%), Cape Verde (1.09%), Ivory Coast (4.06%), Gambia (3.78%), Ghana (2.86%), Guinea (0.89%), Guinea-Bissau (0.99%), Mali (0.56%), Niger (0.47%), Nigeria (1.18%), Senegal (2.46%), Togo (2.07%), MRU (2.79%), ECOWAS (1.87%), Africa (0.88%), Europe (1.50%), North America (1.12%), South America (1.14%), Asia (1.03%) and the world (1.19%). Benin and Liberia recorded zero increase in total recoveries.
