Sierra Leone recorded 0.07% and 1.26% increase in COVID-19 total infections and total recoveries respectively in 48 hours, from Tuesday (10:00 am) to Thursday (10:00 am).
In comparison, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total infections was lower compared to Benin (1.31%), Burkina Faso (0.17%), Cape Verde (2.63%), Ivory Coast (0.17%), Gambia (0.48%), Ghana (0.28%), Guinea (0.48%), Guinea-Bissau (0.13%), Mali (0.89%), Niger (0.38%), Nigeria (0.14%), Senegal (0.14%), Togo (0.55%), the Manor River Union or MRU (0.26%), the Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS (0.37%), Africa (0.43%), Europe (0.68%), North America (0.38%), South America (1.16%), Asia (2.56%) and the world (1.15%). However, percentage increase in total infections was low in Liberia (0.05%) compared to Sierra Leone.
Cape Verde (2.40%) recorded the highest percentage increase in total deaths compared to Benin (2.06), Burkina Faso (0.64%), Cape Verde (2.40%), Ivory Coast (1.06%), Gambia (0.58%), Ghana (0.26%), Guinea (2.13%), Mali (0.63%), Nigeria (0.05%), Senegal (0.09%), MRU (1.02%), ECOWAS (0.37%), Africa (0.59%), Europe (0.68%), North America (0.33%), South America (1.42%), Asia (1.92%) and the world (0.93%). Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Togo recorded zero increase in total deaths over the period.
Moreover, Sierra Leone’s percentage increase in total recoveries was higher compared to Benin (0.93%), Burkina Faso (0.49%), Ivory Coast (0.12%), Gambia (0.85%), Ghana (0.20%), Guinea (0.81%), Guinea-Bissau (0.46%), Liberia (0.36%), Niger (0.23%), Nigeria (0.04%), Senegal (0.10%), MRU (0.37%), ECOWAS (0.35), Africa (0.59%), Europe (0.87%), North America (0.47%) and the world (1.21%). Percentage increase in total recoveries was higher in Cape Verde (2.22%), Mali (2.14%), Togo (1.56%), South America (1.29%) and Asia (2.31%).
