Sports minister, SLFA face Parliament today

By Kemoh Sesay

Sport Minister Paul Kamara and SLFA president Isha Johansen will face the Parliamentary Oversight Committee on Sport today at parliament building, Tower Hill as MPs make a second attempt to end the squabbling between the minister and the Football Association.

Committee Chairman Hon. Martin Bangura last week threatened to resign as chair of the committee if concrete decisions were not taken to end the impasse, once and for all. The MP said both parties will be asked to explain the circumstances leading to the deportation of three journalists from Cameroon amongst others issues. He said, "we are going to take our decision there and then and it is going to be done in the open for everybody to see and hear, we want peace in football."
