TOLONGBO FACTIONS FIGHTING THINGS OUT AS ELECTIONS DRAW NEAR
Things are really getting serious now in the Tolongbo movement. The PPRC has thrown what amounts to a political grenade into the movement by accusing their interim leadership of not being serious about implementing the orders of Hon. Justice Fisher, cooperating with each other and indeed the PPRC to prepare their party for elections in June 2023. The PPRC boss told the IGTC members they would have themselves to blame if Tolongbo fails to prepare well before taking on Principal who is in fact now moving around the country pressing the flesh.
Very few people were convinced that the structure Adrian Fisher’s High Court ruling created in April would work for the overall benefit of Tolongbo. As expected, the people who ended up in the ITGC went there to serve different interests, especially the interests of people seeking to lead the party into the 2023 elections. Now, it’s so clear for all to see because even respected religious leaders have tried and failed to bring the two groups together.
We don’t know what the elders and stakeholders will achieve after their meeting with PPRC because in all of this what they have is just moral authority that looks set to be ignored by factions that are determined to fight to the finish - going repeatedly before the courts or taking things out to their membership. As far as PPRC is concerned this is a great exercise in Public Relations. They are being attacked daily by both sides so here is an opportunity to demonstrate to party elders that their hands are clean and for the public to conclude that the PPRC tried its best to stop Tolongbo from tearing itself apart and opening the way for a massive Green Movement win in 2023.
WHEN IS THE NEXT LAND RAFFLE MINISTER TURAD SENESSI?
Good Morning Dr. Turad Senessie of the Ministry of Lands. We are looking for an answer to the question above. We asked this question immediately after the last raffle that gave hundreds of ordinary people two plots of land, each in one of the new settlements in the Freetown Peninsula. Some of them told us they couldn’t believe this was happening in the real world, at least the world of the people in this Land that we Love.
Mr. Minister, you don’t need anybody to tell you about the shameful fact of housing being a major problem for millions of Sierra Leoneans. The few Sierra Leoneans who have managed to build something are busy killing others with exorbitant rents, crazy tenancy conditions and the ever present possibility of being thrown out of the property. Again, you know how that affects families. That’s why people now want to have land so they can construct whatever type of dwelling they can as long as they would escape the greed and blackmail of LANDLORDS and bring their children up in peace.
Mr. Minister this is the reason we keep pressing you about the next land raffle. We want to take our chances because we know that’s the only option open to ordinary people like us to own land in this country. Please don’t fall for the political blackmail of those of your PARTY PIKIN who accuse you of not giving them priority in distributing land. You have done the best. Nobody has complained about the way you went about the last raffle. Do it again.
SEPP BLATTER AND HIS SO-CALLED “MISTAKE” OF QATAR
Please tell Sepp Blatter to keep quiet and enjoy the corrupt money he made from his time at FIFA. We are looking forward to the World Cup starting in the next few days. We don’t want to hear anything from this guy. Who is Blatter trying to impress? Please we don’t want to mention all those allegations all over again.
The court says Blatter and Platini are not guilty but we don’t want them anywhere near our beautiful game anymore. He says awarding the tournament to Qatar was a MISTAKE. This is complete RUBBISH coming just days before the ball starts rolling. Blatter voice has no power in world football anymore.
Let’s just capture a few other MISTAKES Blatter made in office:
1. He was prone to making very stupid statements that he was always at pains to walk back. He just wouldn’t stop talking.
2. Blatter installed dictators in the leadership structure of African football. As long as he was assured of getting those votes from Africa, he couldn’t care less how football fans felt about the game on the continent.
3. Blatter encouraged corruption in Africa football leadership. Only those leaders who failed to warm up to him were exposed and banned from football. Things have still not changed. Those seeds were planted by Blatter. He did all of this by MISTAKE. We are catching our flight now to DOHA. Blatter is not invited.
AND WE ARE APPROACHING THE FESTIVE SEASON
While on the KUSH menace, we just realized that we are approaching the festive season. If we have to signal our determination to attack and defeat the KUSH supply ring, this is our opportunity. During the festive season hundreds of our people living abroad pour into Freetown with their friends to spend a week or two and at that time it’s almost as if PUBLIC ORDER laws are suspended. There are many unauthorized street parties, those from abroad drive on our narrow roads like FORMULA ONE people and they have no respect for our police officers. These are Sierra Leoneans from countries where they wouldn’t dare look a police officer in his eyes.
During the season marijuana is smoked freely on the streets. From the look of things KUSH will dominate the whole festive agenda this year. We believe the main suppliers should be in jail before the street carnivals begin otherwise by the end of January 2023 the number of KUSH addicts would have tripled.
We call on the authorities to rally the whole nation for this fight. Drug dealers are powerful. They have powerful friends in strange places so we need to prepare for surprises. We have made the point before this is a fight we must fight and WIN.
IS THOMAS DADDY BRIMA READY FOR NOVEMBER 18?
As things stand now it’s almost impossible for our national football league to begin on the 18th of NOVEMBER 2022 as planned by the Premier League Board unless TDB becomes another King Midas overnight. Like all football fans in this country we want the league to begin. There are challenges everywhere from standard football pitches to seed money for clubs to prepare. We should also mention the lack of sponsorship by commercial houses and uncertainty about government sponsorship.
With only a few days to go TDB has gone quiet and the PLB is having sleepless nights trying to put things together. We still don’t have fixtures. The reasonable thing to do now is to simply tell the nation that the game is off for now.
