DID YOU REALLY MAKE THOSE COMMENTS MADAM MAYOR?
In any serious country including the one to which she really belongs, our Mayor of the Sun should be packing her bags now to leave office after that leaked audio of her saying very silly things about her relationship with the government and her abiding belief that a particular tribe in Sierra Leone, pre-dominantly based in the south and east of the country should NEVER work at the FCC while she was the MAYOR OF THE SUN. We really shed tears for this country listening to that audio several times over on Wednesday night. We have generally held her to account but we had genuinely believed that she would help lead the much need reform of her party. We have been wrong all this while.
We challenge the Mayor of the Sun to do one of three things: deny that she was the person speaking (we don’t know how she will sustain that), go on national TV and apologize or RESIGN now and return HOME to London. We give her 48 hours to do that. If the Mayor of her city – London says what she said in that leaked material about Welsh people and the job prospects in the London assembly, he will be forced to resign immediately. We expect our London Mayor of Freetown to follow that and fall on her sword in the next few hours. This is a real shame.
Even with this loud cry about tribalism, marginalization and this mayor of the Sun always going on social media to play victim in her relationship with the government, now we know that we have a sheep in wolf’s clothing attempting to run Freetown. It is very clear that she was busted by somebody in her inner circle that was clearly fed up with her hate for a particular tribe in Sierra Leone and decided to expose her or this is part of the power game at the heart of Tolongbo. Madam Mayor of the Sun has lost her appeal to many of those who had come to believe that she was being bullied by this government because she is in the opposition.
She hates MENDE people for God knows what and is prepared to do everything to deprive them of their livelihood. If FCC was the only employing authority she will force them to starve to death on her way to becoming PRESIDENT of this country. That’s what she dreams about all the time.
We ask for the following actions NOW and we WARN that this matter will not DIE until we get an acceptable outcome:
1. The Minister of Internal of Internal Affairs should call her in and ask her to clarify that statement immediately and then apologize on nationwide TV and radio or resign.
2. All those civil society organizations and professional groups that jump on every bandwagon to occupy public should now issue statements CONDEMNING this woman.
3. All MENDE people in the party that put her in that office after staying in the UK for a billion years should now re-evaluate their position with her and her party if Tolongbo does not call her to order. We know they won’t. Didn’t they refuse to even caution their diehard supporter Coachie Mansaray who stood on the balcony of their party office and described MENDE PEOPLE as stupid?
4. We have to do something now about the recruitment criteria at FCC. For her qualifications don’t matter – MENDE people shouldn’t bother to apply. They should be totally excluded, according to the Mayor of the Sun.
5. We note that any genocide directed at MENDE people in this country in the future will be rooted in what this Mayor said among other factors. Shame!
RAP ARTIST KAODENERO MOVES IN A NEW DIRECTION
We congratulate Kaodenero on his appointment as ambassador for entertainment and investment. We really didn’t see this coming but we understand the spirit behind the appointment. This appointment encourages young people in particular to always go about their business diligently and believe that even in their obscure corners somebody will notice their output and credit them for it. Reckless drug taking and criminal behavior is wrong and will take them to jail.
Coming out of that hip hop culture in the US, our new ambassador has a rough side that we must surely highlight here. We have heard him use very salty language on social media. There was even an incident in which his boys set upon a guy who they accused of betrayal and gave him a sound beating. Kaodenero himself was arrested and questioned.
So now we hope all of that in in the past. Mr. Ambassador your new status sets you apart from the rest of us and we expect you to behave like a statesman. We now pay your salaries and allowances and many other things including paying for your travels. You have to concentrate on the job assigned to you and behave yourself. Remember you have many other people in your industry that would now look up to you for support. All the noise about this flag and that flag should be secondary. You are ambassador for all. We wish you the very best.
FIFA IGNORES POLITICAL MESSAGING ON THE PITCH FROM NORWAY
When the Norway team took to the field in a World Cup qualifying match against Gibraltar in the last 48 hours, they decided to launch a protest against the violation of the human rights of migrant workers in Qatar, a good many of them brought into that country to prepare the facilities to host the next World Cup tournament. We have no problem with protests and we believe that human rights are universal and should be respected everywhere. So it was a good thing for Norway to highlight that. What we have a problem with is FIFA deciding not to act against Norway for using the football pitch to launch a political protest. This is absolute double standards.
We know what FIFA did to a prominent Egyptian footballer who chose to highlight the plight of Palestinians as he celebrated a goal in a football match. How can the same FIFA now say it sees nothing wrong in footballers making political statements in the field of play?
What the cowardly Infantino has done now is to open a floodgate for protests over all kinds of causes including Infantino’s crude interference in CAF having just put in place a puppet administration to run football on the African continent. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
BEGGARS POSING AS COMEDIANS DISRUPTING TRAFFIC
What we saw at a place called FIVE FIVE, to the edge of Waterloo heading out to the provinces the other day was bad, very bad. We saw three beggars dressed up as what we know locally as comedians blocking vehicular movement and begging for money. The three guys stood in front of vehicles with outstretched hands asking for money from each vehicle heading to Freetown. Why are these guys so desperate?
Frankly, we’ve seen this kind of behavior in the heart of Freetown. We just want to make the case that the practice is not restricted to Waterloo but in Freetown many drivers were not amused and it would appear as if the police moved in quickly and kicked them out. They may return at some point but we’ll see.
Those beggars in Waterloo were doing this less than ONE HUNDRED yards from nearly half a dozen police officers whose job was to ensure the free flow of traffic in that chaotic junction. And they should never tell anybody that they were not aware of what was happening so close to them. They cannot be controlling the movement of vehicles while allowing three beggars calling themselves comedians to cause a gridlock because they want people to feed them.
By the way, what kind of comedy is that? These guys should just look over their shoulders in Nigeria and see how far comedians have gone. They will see how powerful, rich and sophisticated their counterparts are. We believe that will inspire some of them at least to behave themselves, try to be more organized and FUNNY and stop naked begging on the streets of this country.
IG Sovula’s men arrest people for parking in prohibited areas because they disrupt the flow of traffic, they should now arrest these beggars for doing the same and for endangering their own lives in the process.
