Sewa Grounds: The long search for a solution

The Sierra Leone National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) is set to transform Sewa Grounds into a modern business center. The NASSIT plan to construct a multi-purpose market that officials say would accommodate about 4,000 traders will, hopefully, bring an end to years of search for solution to the proliferation of street trading in the Freetown municipality.

If all go as planned, trial of the much talked about Ebola vaccine will soon become a reality in Sierra Leone.

Officials spearheading it hope to inject the first vial into the first of 6000 participants involved by the first week of March as part of an elaborate process designed to cover four districts – Bombabli, Port Loko, Tonkolili and the Western Area.
