The Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources (MFMR), Princess Dugba has spoken of her ministry’s plan to scale up and improve commercial industrial and artisanal fisheries development to generate state revenue.
Minister Dugba while signing her ministry’s performance contract with President Julius Maada Bio said the President specified detailed outcomes to which they are expected to contribute to for the long-term development of Sierra Leone.

A high level government delegation led by the Minister of Finance Sheku Fantamadi Bangura is returning to Freetown from the United States, quiet confident that the long-awaited Millennium Challenge Corporation grant would finally be approved by the United States Congress this year. He was giving updates on the activities of his office at the Ministry of Information and Civic Education’s press briefing hosted at the Foreign Affairs conference hall in Freetown on 7th of May this year.

In order to control the addictive substance Kush in the country, the country’s National Coordinator of the Task Force on Drug and Substance Abuse Professor Foday Sahr has committed to reducing the availability of kush by over 80% in one year period.
He made the statement whilst addressing the media at the Ministry of Information and Civil Education’s Weekly Press Conference held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Freetown on May 7, 2024.
