Kamboi Eagles set for another away win

Kamboi Eagles look set for another away win tonight when they lock horns with Ports Authority. In their last outing to Freetown, the boys’ from the East thrashed third place Old Edwardians 3-0. They are hoping to continue this momentum, after drawing at home with Bo Rangers in their last match.

“Bo Rangers need support” – Bockarie Banya

A retired Sierra Leone Army Major based in Uganda Bockarie Banya, has called for massive support for Bo Rangers F.C. as they currently occupy the 5th position in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League table. Banya made the statement via a phone interview to Politico sport.

Presenting two sets of football jerseys to the club, Major Banya’s wife Princess their family decided to do the donation because they are both from the southern region.

FIFA Elite referee course kicks-off in Freetown

Seventeen Class ‘A’ referees who represent Sierra Leone in officiating FIFA and CAF international matches are taking part in a 5-day refresher course at the Sierra Leone Football Association Headquarters in Freetown.

Six decisive matches are scheduled for today Wednesday 6 June across the country. These second round return legs will take place in Freetown, Makeni and Bo. A win for Old Edwardian or FC Kallon will see one of the two leading the table and if Kissy All Stars win their away match they will move out of the relegation zone.

Leone Stars’ journey to world cup starts this weekend

The senior national team of Sierra Leone, Leone Stars, will on Saturday June 2, start their 2014 World Cup qualifiers campaign against Cape Verde before taking on Equatorial Guinea on match day-two of the same campaign in Malabo the following weekend.

A thirty-man delegation from Cape Verde is due in Freetown on Thursday while the match officials from Ghana and Mali are also expected on the same day.
