Bo Rangers terminate Musa Tombo’s contract

Bo Rangers Football Club in a letter addressed to Musa N. Kamara aka Musa Tombo  have terminated the player’s contract with the club effective 1st September, 2022.

According to the letter, the action was due to what they referred to his failure, refusal and/or neglect to ‘conform’ to established standards of good moral character and sportsmanship which the club described as reasonably excusable.

Ultimatum for Sierra Leone FA over ‘match fixing’ report

The Ministry of Sports (MOS) together with the National Sports Authority (NSA) have in a press statement urged the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) to present findings of their investigations of the Eastern Region Football Association (ERFA) Super Ten League Matches not later than Wednesday, 31st August 2022 or face serious actions.

The country’s football governing body was also ordered to immediately put on hold the National Playoffs for promotion to the Premier League  that are about to commence.

Sierra Leone: Coach Zappa leaves Kamboi Eagles

The head coach of Kamboi Eagles, Francis Zappa Koroma, who doubles as the head coach for the Sierra Leone Home based National Team, has left the club on mutual consent.

Coach Zappa was said to still have two and half years left on his three year contract, but the club in a statement decided to go into negotiations with him. The statement narrated that he is 'desperate' to make a permanent move to Freetown, citing family reasons.

Musa Tombo Returns to Bo Rangers training

Bo Rangers skipper and forward Musa Noah Kamara (Musa Tombo) has returned to the team’s training ground after being absent for weeks.

Kamara removed himself from the team's preparation for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions league, after his proposed travel to Kaiser Chiefs in South Africa to secure a contract, was hampered.

He has been seen playing mini league football around Freetown ever since.

Sierra Leone FA appoints new Premier League Board

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has appointed new Premier League Board (PLB) Executive for the 2022/2023 football league season.

In a release issued out on 8th August, 2022, it stated that the football governing body in the country has again reappointed Lawyer Alieu Vandi as Chairman of the Board. He was the Chairman of the past PLB for the 2021/2022 premiere league season which ended successfully as Bo Rangers were crowned Champions.

Sierra Leone university defends rustication
