The deputy Minister of Sports Ishmael Al-Sankoh Conteh has told Politico that his ministry will promote sports at grassroots level.He said ‘’I see that most of the youths in this country love football which is the most popular sport”.
Sankoh said his ministry is doing its best to improve football countrywide “which is whyPresidentErnest Bai Koroma decided to have a separate ministry for sports”.
He promised to work hard to see that football reaches itspeak and called on the youth to continue behaving well in every competition, “football is all about sportsmanship,
devoid of violence”.
Sankoh praised the conduct of both teams and their supporters on the final day of the camp Diva Youth Championship over the weekend.
