Sierra Leone's political party regulatory body, the Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC), yesterday met with senior members of the governing All People's Congress and the main opposition Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP) in the Goderich Community, according to a press release from the commission.
The meeting happened at the commission's headquarters in Freetown and was a follow-up to “a reconciliatory meeting” held at the Goderich Community Centre on Thursday 6th December 2012.
Yesterday's meeting discussed the impasse between the two parties in the run-up to and following the November elections and it was observed that the problem in Goderich even though having some political connotation was more to do with personality issues.
It was agreed that PPRC would organise a re-union meeting for the two parties in the Goderich Community.
Meanwhile both parties have assured that that “they will work together for the betterment of the Community and the country as a whole”.
