Coach of Central Parade, Mohamed Lamin Kamara, has said he is not worried about his job. Kamara said he believed the management of the club would give him enough time to turn things around.
Kamara was speaking at a post-match press conference on Wednesday.
“I am not worried about my job. We have a very young team and most of the boys are only playing the Premier League for the first time. we are not 100% yet and I believe the management understands that,” he said.
On Wednesday, Central Parade held Ports Authority to a 1-1 draw, despite Parade playing the last 30 minutes of the game with ten men. David Kokofele was sent out for a nasty challenge on a Ports Authority player.
Despite the red card, the team showed a strong spirit and fought hard. They attacked and nearly won the game towards the end.
Kamara said after the red card he told the team captain to work twice his work rate and instructed the wingers to tuck into midfield when they lost the ball.
After their draw on Wednesday, Central Parade now have 4 points after seven games. As of Thursday, they were 12th on the table. They are yet to win a game since the start of the season.
But Kamara hopes that Wednesday’s result will just inspire the team to perform better and get their first win.
“The performance tonight was very good. Kudos to the boys,” he said.
Parade will play Mighty Blackpool next week Thursday in what promises to be an epic game between two relegation threatened teams.
