The Officer Commanding traffic at the Motema Police division, Inspector Jinnah Saffa Moijueh told Politico that the accident happened at around 8:00 pm and he received a telephone call about it.
He said that their investigations so far showed that bike rider was riding to Komaror village with the three passengers when they ran into the back of a stationary tractor
Inspector Moijueh said the accident might have been caused by “over speeding and reckless riding”.
The tractor operator, Basheru Kamara however said that he was in motion when the commercial motor bike rammed into him.
Dr. Abdulai Barbu, the District Medical Superintendent of the government hospital, Koidu, confirmed that the three had their “spinal cord broken” which resulted in their deaths.
