Red Flames and DC Exclavate blew away their opponents this weekend to make it two wins out of two. Flames won against Silver Fox 138-34, whiles Exclavate defeated Freetown Lakers on Monday 111-30.
On Saturday, Murray Dean Heats recovered from last week’s loss against DC to win 63-41 against Ashonix.
In Saturday’s second game, Kennedy Nets won their first game when they defeated Goderich Blazers 73-31.
On Monday, Silver Fox bounced back from their humiliation to beat Upwards in a very close contest, 45-43. The loss for Upwards means they are yet to win a game this season.
Diamond Stars to continue revival?
Diamond Stars have the chance to end the first round of the Premier League on a high. The caretaker coach, Aiah Lebbie, is in a buoyant mood going into this game. Who wouldn’t be, after two wins in a row?
Those two games were played in Koidu, Kono district. So, one might not read too much into that. It is perhaps how they perform tonight, away from home, that will show the level of impetus Lebbie has injected in this squad.
