Bo Rangers allay injury fears, ahead of LISCR tie

As the team prepares for its opening encounter in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League, Head Coach of Bo Rangers, Alhaji ‘Abedi’ Foray has allayed the fears of fans that no player has sustained injury so far as they set to lock-horns with their Liberian counterparts, Liberian International Shipping and Corporate Registry                                                               (LISCR) FC.

The match was scheduled to take place at the newly approved Southern Arena on the 19th August, 2023.

In a pre-match press conference held at the Arena’s conference room on Thursday 17th August, 2023, Coach Foray told journalists that the team is well- prepared to meet with their opponents from Liberia this weekend in Bo.

He showed respect for his opponents whom he described as very formidable s and should not be underestimated. He said his boys are already in camp in top gear preparing for the much talked about encounter in Bo.

"I want to make Bo Rangers and Sierra Leone proud. I am not under any pressure going into this match," he said.

Coach Foray said with the championship tournament that just ended in Guinea, and the team playing very well, he said with the experience gained, they are ready to take on LISCR FC. 

He also said that he and his technical team have worked on many things to ensure the players give their best for Sierra Leoneans to be happy come Saturday.

He told Politico in an interview that they added three players to the team before the tournament in Guinea; Samuel Beko, a midfielder from East End Lions, Santos from Blackpool and Dante from Kamboi Eagles  all of whom he described as players of quality. 

"I am proud of Samuel Beko as head coach, having won the man of the match award in the championship tournament in Guinea,” Foray said.

He further said that he has already gathered a lot of information about their opponents which they hope to exploit, more so with the team already having the mentality of winning matches at home.

According to the Public Relations 2 of Bo Rangers, Solomon Demby, they have put things in place for the players and coaches to feel motivated. He said tickets are out now for sale at selected business places in Bo, noting that the match will be played at 4:00 pm on Saturday 19th August. The match officials will arrive on Friday from Nigeria.

Bo Rangers are the reigning Champions.
