Coaches anxious ahead of FA Cup Draw

The ongoing salone FA Cup sponsored by (Leocem) has reached the most critical stage with I6 teams to battle it out for the prestigious trophy. According Sorie Ibrahim Sesay who is in charge of  competitions at the SLFA , the draw for the round of 16 teams will take place at the SLFA football Academy on Friday 11th April 2014 saying it will be an open draw which will attract  qualified Club representatives and the media to ensure  transparency . According to a cross section of football Coaches who spoke toPolitico ahead of  the draw,  premier league teams will face each other again because they have the highest number of teams left in the round of 16teams. Christian Cole of  EE Lions said that his team is ready to face any team in the draw as their priority is to win the FA cup and the premier league as well, while head coach of division one side John Victor Konneh said  most of teams left in this round don’t want to go out and that all matches will be tense.  Charlie Wright head coach of FC kallon who won the last FA Cup in 2002  expect tight matches saying at  this particular stage no team would want to lose a match so easily.‘’we are ready to play any team we face in the draw’’ says Charlie Wright.

Below are the 16 teams for the draw;

EE Lions, FC Kallon,  FC Johansen, Old Edwardians, Freetown City FC, RSLAF, Bo Rangers, Kamboi Eagles, Real Mack, Dollarosa, Edmond Micheal Foundation (Bo) , Kholifa Stars (Tonkolili), Sunday Foundation (Kambia, Grass Field United (Moyamba), Alan-Thababan (Makeni), Geoma Jagoh (Kailahun).
