The FA Cup tournament is intensifying in the round of 32 in the Western Area and the provincial cities.
Diamond Stars, the Premier League Champions and Ports Authority have crashed out. Diamond Stars were eliminated by Kholifa Stars of Magburaka 5-4 on a post game penalties in Kono over the weekend, after a 3-3 Draw in both ties.
The head coach of Kholifa Stars Mohamed Sesay expressed delight of eliminating the champions of the Premier League and this "has give us the enthusiasm to proceed to the next stage of the competitions". He said "we were under dogs in this fixture but we have proven our critics wrong and we are happy for that".
Derrick Boisson, Head coach of Diamond Stars was disappointed at being thrown out of the FA cup adding that "we played well but the lapses in the backline cause the goal which leveled the tie" He said, "we are going to make sure that next season we come on strong to win the FA cup"
Ports Authority were also eliminated by RSLAF by 1-0 on aggregate after 0-0 draw in the first leg.
East End Lions eliminated Anti Drugs Strikers 1-0 on aggregate after 0-0 draw in the in first leg and Old Edwardians dumped Nottingham Forest 5-1 on aggregate.
