Harford School tops radical inclusion debate

The prestigious Harford School for Girls in Moyamba District emerged winners of the ‘’Radical Inclusion Debate and Quiz competition in which 14 schools in the district took part.

The primary focus of the debate were the Government’s Big Five Agenda and all participating students were made to study the various aspects embodied in the government’s flagship initiative, as well as the radical   inclusion document espoused by the Chief Minister in the Office of the President, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh.

The radical inclusion initiative is the bedrock for actualization of the Big Five Agenda that comprises Feed Salone (Agric) initiative, Human Capital Development, Youth Employment Scheme, Revamping of the Public Service Architecture, as well as Technology and Infrastructure.  

The young debaters discussed issues of social justice and accessibility, equal rights and diversity.

Day One of the debate saw nine schools performing remarkably well to progress to the next round.

According to reports representatives of Harford exhibited depth, coupled with persuasive arguments, and impressive articulation over issues.

They progressed through the four phases of the competition to eventually clinch the radical inclusion debate trophy.

Schools were drawn from the various chiefdoms in Moyamba district. They include Harford, Alex Koroma, Moyamba Boys, and St. Joseph’s Convent. The debate and quiz competition was organised by the Country’s Chief Minister Sengeh.
