The Ivorian Cycling Federation Committee (ICFC) have invited their Sierra Leonean counterparts, the SLCA to take part in the West Africa Cycling Championship slated for September 27 - 6 October 2013 in Touba, in the north-west of the Ivory Coast.
National team captain Moses Sesay who won the national trial and will be part of the Sierra Leone team told Politico that he was looking forward to the competition because the trial helped him improve his skills. He said his colleagues were also in a high state of readiness to take part in competition.
Hilary Garber who came second in the same trials expressed delight to be amongst the cyclists who will represent Sierra Leone in the competition while Arnold Bangura who was third expressed similar sentiments.
Sierra Leone is sending a six man delegation comprising five cyclists.
